01What to look for in the photograph.
In the supplied body photographs, bright yellow-green reflections sit beside bronze and dark olive areas. The same finish can appear much brighter across a reflective flank than along its back.
Compare the metallic olive-bronze surface with the more translucent Blackstripe Topminnow. Use the matching product photograph and underwater view to inspect the finish under different light, without treating that change as a catch-performance claim.
These are visual notes on the supplied product photographs, reviewed November 4, 2026—not a field-test result. Light and viewing angle affect the apparent color.
02From reference to finish.
The finish borrows the bowfin's marbled depth without copying a single specimen or adding a decorative eye-spot claim.
The result is an interpretation, not a biological replica. It keeps the memory of the Texas fish while respecting the proportions and restraint of the RIVAS body.
03A finish to follow before release.
RIVAS is planned for freshwater and saltwater use, with an official BKK Fangs-62 UA #8 hook listing and stock intended to ship from the United States. Owner-reported specifications are slow floating, 3/8 oz (approximately 10.6 g converted), and a maximum diving depth of 1.2 m; the maximum is not guaranteed for every setup or retrieve. Release timing remains unannounced.
