01What to look for in the photograph.
Dark bands alternate with gold across an olive base. In the supplied group photograph, the repeated bars remain a prominent part of the side profile beside the darker back.
Compare it with Red River Pupfish for the difference between bold black-gold bands and softer tan-gold bars. The size and shape of the RIVAS body remain the same across the two finishes.
These are visual notes on the supplied product photographs, reviewed November 4, 2026—not a field-test result. Light and viewing angle affect the apparent color.
02From reference to finish.
The pattern is kept compact and disciplined so the lure still reads as one premium finish, not a novelty graphic.
The result is an interpretation, not a biological replica. It keeps the memory of the Texas fish while respecting the proportions and restraint of the RIVAS body.
03A finish to follow before release.
RIVAS is planned for freshwater and saltwater use, with an official BKK Fangs-62 UA #8 hook listing and stock intended to ship from the United States. Owner-reported specifications are slow floating, 3/8 oz (approximately 10.6 g converted), and a maximum diving depth of 1.2 m; the maximum is not guaranteed for every setup or retrieve. Release timing remains unannounced.
