01What to look for in the photograph.
Look through the olive-gold side rather than only at its outline. The supplied profile shows a translucent body with scattered reflective details, while the back reads darker than the flank.
Compare it with Eyetail Bowfin to separate translucency from metallic surface reflection. Both sit in the olive-gold family, but they do not present the same surface.
These are visual notes on the supplied product photographs, reviewed November 4, 2026—not a field-test result. Light and viewing angle affect the apparent color.
02From reference to finish.
The finish keeps the topminnow's quiet contrast rather than exaggerating it into a bright chartreuse pattern.
The result is an interpretation, not a biological replica. It keeps the memory of the Texas fish while respecting the proportions and restraint of the RIVAS body.
03A finish to follow before release.
RIVAS is planned for freshwater and saltwater use, with an official BKK Fangs-62 UA #8 hook listing and stock intended to ship from the United States. Owner-reported specifications are slow floating, 3/8 oz (approximately 10.6 g converted), and a maximum diving depth of 1.2 m; the maximum is not guaranteed for every setup or retrieve. Release timing remains unannounced.
